Aníbal Catalán
Guerrero, México, 1973

Visual artist who lives and works in Mexico City. Has studied architecture and his work in painting, drawing and installation appears to continue this form of sculpture, design and create spaces. His work shows the elements of domestic architecture, walls, ceilings, dividers, cables, poles, scaffolding, nets, as if they had been twisted and stretched by external forces, and viewed through an exaggerated perspective. Also interested in the space between chaos and order, such that by freezing a moment in time and space can reveal the energy that surrounds it. Create on-site facilities including murals, paintings and illuminated sculpture made to recreate the flow of urban architecture.
