In 1980 he began his career as a photographer with some experiences in the field of theater and reporting. Begins in these years his personal search directed to social issues and a reading of the traces of human activities on the territory.
Since 1985 he has been working professionally in industrial, architectural, museum and landscape photography. He has collaborated with the Alinari Archives of Florence, the Girodon Archives of Paris, with Elemond Arte of Milan and Phaidon Press of London carrying out photographic campaigns of works of art and architectural goods, with the Province of Milan in the project "Archivio dello Spazio" with The Municipality of Milan in the project "Dixie".
He has exhibited his work consistently since 1984 in Europe and Mexico. In 2004 the Department of Architecture of INBA commissioned to interpret the Palace of Fine Arts (Mexico City) on the occasion of its 70th anniversary. During the year 2008 he made a photographic series that interprets the architectural proposal of Terminal 2, the Airport of Mexico City.
In 2010 the AEP commissioned him to photograph the remodeling in the Plaza of the Republic of the DF and to make a book on the occasion of the Bicentennial of the Revolution. His photographs are part of public collections, such as the Bibliothéque Nationale in Paris, the Santa Monica Art Center (Barcelona), the Museum of Contemporary Photography (Milan) and the Department of Architecture at the Palace of Fine Arts (Mexico City).
He has collaborated as a professor in numerous photographic institutions among which: Marangoni Foundation (Florence), Centro de la Imagen (Mexico City), Centro Álvarez Bravo (Oaxaca), Academia San Carlos (Mexico City), Pedro Meyer Foundation , Conarte (Monterrey), Academy of Fine Arts (Chihuahua and Jalapa), Autonomous University of Mexico (Mexico City). |
