Jesús Lugo
CDMX, 1963

 

Jesus was born in Mexico City in 1963. He completed professional studies at the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving "La Esmeralda" of the INBA from 1983 to 1988. His work has been exhibited both in Mexico and abroad, of which stand out :

He has been distinguished with an honorable mention in the "Encuentro de Dos Mundos" contest organized by the French Alliance of Mexico in 1992 and in the The 13th Annual MexAm/Vermont Studio Center Artist Fellowship 2005 - 2006,
and the Acquisition Awards in the "II Concurso Johnnie Walker" Museo de Arte Moderno, México, 1999 y en la "XI Bienal de Pintura Rufino Tamayo" Museo de arte Contemporáneo Internacional Rufino Tamayo, 2002.
He was a Scholar of "Jóvenes creadores" (FONCA 1997-1998).
He is a National Member of the System for Culture and the Arts, and was tutor of Jóvenes Creadores en 2012 y 2013
