Gerardo Pita Salvatella
Spain, 1950

His hyperrealism is recognized in the recurrence of capturing fishermen's nets and wool, he considers himself obsessed by these. He seeks a genuinely childish realism, considering that the child seeks to faithfully capture reality and in his childish vision errors disappear.

His work is included in the great art collections, among which are the MoMA in New York, the Art Institute of Chicago, the collection of the Arkansas Foundation for the Arts, the E.F. Hutton Company, the Seavest Collection of Contemporary Realism (New York), the Barón Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection (Lugano), the Argentaria Collection (Madrid), the Villa Magdalena Palace Collection (Oviedo), the Josep Suñol Collection (Barcelona), the René Morales (Nicaragua) and the Mauricio Fernández Garza Collection (Mexico).
